Clover Arlene Brown Wood, age 90, born February 3, 1924, passed away April 1, 2014. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Fountain City and a member of First Baptist Church of Concord as well as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt. Passed before her were parents James and Rosa Mae Brown, sisters Betty Beal, Mildred Tefteller, Kathleen Davis, Mabel Matson, and Mary Brown, and brother James Brown, Jr. Survivors include daughter Karen Carter and husband Bob, grandchildren Jason Carter and wife Melanie and Stephanie Bradley and husband Pete, great-grandchildren Isaiah, Sophia, and Jonah, nieces Carla Jones, Denise Hairr, Pam Vacca, Glenda Sharp, Shirley Wise, Carolyn Rose, and Kathleen Matson, nephews Gene Roe, David Roe, Rodger Davis, Butch Davis, and Keith Matson, as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, and other loved ones and friends who loved her and will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Missions Ministry at First Baptist Church of Concord, 11704 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934. The Family will receive friends 1-3 PM Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will then proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for Graveside Services.
