Claude F. Hall, age 89, of Knoxville passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014. Claude served with the U.S. Navy in WWII and later he owned and operated Arlington Auto Sales for many years. He was a lifelong member of Sharon Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a mason from Fountain City Lodge # 757. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Pearl Elkins Hall; brother, Charles Hall. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy “Jean” Gentry Hall; sons, Steve (Donna) Hall and Gary (Shirlene) Hall; grandchildren, Claudia (Donnie) Brewton, Brad (Rosemary) Hall, Steven (Tracie) Hall and Madeline Hall; great grandchildren, Audrey and Erynn Brewton and Cooper Hall; brother, Clyde Hall; several nieces and nephews all of Knoxville. Funeral Service will be held 8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Sharon Baptist Church, with Rev. Mark McCoig, Dr. James Robertson and Rev. Dennis Blazier officiating. Family and Friends will meet 10:45 AM, Thursday, at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for interment at 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Howard “Red” Griggs, Doug White, Bob Rutherford, Steve Lawson, Brad Hall and Steven Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Adrian Nelson, Jimmy Dye, Bob Broom and Jimmy Thompson. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Sharon Baptist Church.
