Clark Douglas Strange

Clark Douglas Strange, Sr., age 70, of Maynardville, TN, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 26th, 2016. Clark was an employee of St. Mary’s Hospital for over 40 years in the engineering department. He was a member and deacon at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. Clark was known for his good heart and helping hand. He was preceded in death by parents, Jess and Margaret Strange; sister, Dora Adams; mother-in-law, Audrey Carter. He is survived by loving wife Betsy Strange; daughters, Melissa (Michelle) Strange and April (Tony) Whaley; sons Doug (Tonya) Strange, Desmond Carter, Matthew Clay. He was DoDo to Jessica, Taylor, Addison, Andrew, Breeanna, Lane and Mason, and was Papaw to Ashlee, Bubba, Macy and Marcus. Also survived by father-in-law Davis Carter; brothers, Roy (Donna) and Hugh (Sue) Strange; sister, Peggy (Roy) Crawford; several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Taylor Whaley, Tony Whaley, Phil Sartin, Desmond Carter, Matthew Clay, and Justin Sharp will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the St. Mary’s Engineering Department.
