Clarence “Fred” Dees, age 75 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 29, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Fred retired from Lockheed Martin after 28 of service. Member of Clear Springs Baptist Church, Corryton. He was a 1964 Graduate of Halls High School, a U.S. Army Veteran and Army and Airforce Reserves, and an avid motorcyclist. He is preceded in death by beloved parents, George and Elsie Dees; sister, Mary Easterday; mother and father-in-law, Lynn and Mattie Carter; and brother-in-law, David Carter. He is survived by wife of 53 years, Barbara Dees; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Kelli Dees; grandchildren, Micah (Skylar) and Caroline Dees; and soon to be born great-grand child Malayia Quinn; sister, Dollie Easterday; brothers, George (Carolyn)Dees and David Dees; brother-in-law, Gary Carter; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Gary and Betty Cooper. The family would like to thank UT Hospice and especially Stephanie. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, followed by a 7:00pm funeral service, Rev. Jerry Vittatoe officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15am Monday, April 4, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, to leave in procession for an 11:00am graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery, with full military honors.
