Clara Faye Dalton departed this world and woke up in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 23, 2024, at the earthly age of 85. Faye was saved at an early age and was a long-standing member of Clear Springs Baptist Church in Corryton. Faye joyfully sang in the Choir for as long as she was physically able to do so and otherwise served the Lord and the Church in many different capacities. Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Faye also authored many poems about her walk with God in the hope that her words might inspire others. Faye also worked for many years for Home Federal Bank.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Mary Dalton, and siblings, Jack Dalton, Rev. Shields Dalton, Frank Dalton, Lois Dalton Oglesby, Sallie Dalton Lett, Geneva Dalton Bell, Carson Dalton and JoAnn Dalton, who she considered her best friend.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Richard Lett of Corryton, and her nieces and nephews, Patsy (Wayne) Beeler, Joy Yarnell, Irma (Billy) Jordan, Frances (David) Farmer, Debbie (Gary) Campell, Cathy (Tim) Lennon, Ann (Mike) Tipton, Anita (Stephen) Garrett, Susan (Mike) Staley, Michael (Kathy) Dalton and Stanley (Debora) Oglesby. She also leaves three very special friends who showed great love to her and JoAnn, those being Mara Goddard Wolfenbarger, Becky Creswell and Cindy Pugh.
