Christy Lynn Collins

Christy Lynn Collins, 40, answered her call to go join God on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Christy was faithful, kind, patient, compassionate, thoughtful, and fiercely loyal to those she loved. She was an absolutely amazing and fully devoted wife. Christy had a heart for service and spent her career with the Department of Human Services for the State of TN and served dutifully for 10 years. She was proud of her career and made many lifelong friends from her work. Christy loved to travel, particularly on cruises. The ocean was her happy place and she found calmness and peace at sea. She loved to be with her friends and family, and was always ready to spend time and have fun with those she loved…and she would absolutely kick your butt at any game you ever challenged her to! She was an animal lover with a special fondness for dogs and turtles. She left behind her fur-babies Wilbur and Tillie who she adored. Christy was preceded in death by her Grandparents Donald Cody, and Dee and Rebecca Breeden. She was survived by her loving husband of 17 years Steven Collins; Mother Darlene Williamson and Father Jeffrey Breeden; Grandmother Shelby Cody; Brother Corey Breeden; Sister Amy Breeden and her partner Daniel Howard; Father-in-Law Michael Collins and wife Frankie; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Receiving of family and friends will be on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 5-7pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls. Memorial service will immediately follow at 7pm lead by Susan Smith. Flowers are welcome, but Christy would also love for you to make a donation in lieu of flowers to Young Williams Animal Center in Knoxville, TN or your favorite pet rescue.
