On Friday, June 24th 2022, Christopher James Seely, born March 5, 1985, soared through the heavens to be enveloped into the loving arms of God. Chris was a man of faith and last attended Rio Church in Blount County. We treasure the goodness of his heart, his effervescent personality, and the essence of his soul, even though the beast of opiate addiction took him away too early in life. We remember his compassionate heart and willingness to help others, his dedication and love for God, family, friends and participation in sports, including basketball, golf, and fishing. A Powell High graduate, he was honored as the KIL Basketball Co-Player of the Year in 2003 for Knox County. Predeceased by father- James Seely, grandparents J.B. and Mildred Pierce Quinn, and Willie Lee Seely, Aunt/Uncle – Betty and Zeb Gambill; uncle, John Seely. Left to mourn his passing are mother, Nancy Seely, precious sons-Keaton and Kyler Williams and their mother Rebecca Williams-Scarbrough, siblings, Brandon and Bradley (Bree) Seely, girlfriend, Miranda Monday, aunts and uncles – Jim and Margaret Quinn, Eddie and Tammy Quinn, Mary and Melvin Cantrell, Shirley Seely, Morgan Quinn and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Mark McCoig officiating. Family and friends will meet 2:45 pm.
