Christine Miller Lewis

Christine Miller Lewis, born October 19, 1916 in Sardis, Mississippi and passed away December 26, 2016. She was a faithful member of Glenwod Baptist Church. Preceded ion death by parents: Lillie Belle Eckles Miller and Simeon Jackson Miller. Sister, Clarice E. Proctor. Brother, Joe E. Miller and three husbands: Malcolm Seales, William Thomas Seymour and Vaughn Lewis. One son, James Norton Seales who passed away at the age of four. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1986 at the age of 69 with a 3.76 grade point average. She earned a Batchelors Degree and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi national honor fraternity and Psi Chi honor society for psychology majors. She is survived by niece and nephew, Caren and David Dunn of Knoxville along with 15 grand nieces and nephews and 15 great grand nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2pm Monday, January 2 at Glenwood Baptist Church, Rev. Travis Henderson officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Glenwood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Monday at the church. Arrangements by Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel.
