Charlotte Ann Stanton passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023. She was a devoted wife to Ralph Raymond Stanton for 36 years until his death in 1999. She met Ralph at the young age of 16 and married at 21. She felt she had the love of her youth and never desired to remarry. As she put it, “He was more than enough”. She attended Fulton high school and graduated Knoxville Evening School. She graduated from Tennessee Beauty School in 1963. First, and foremost she loved Jesus, everything she said or did in her life would flow from that relationship. She impacted her family, friends, church and ministry with that love. An encourager to all, she made everyone feel they were more than capable, the most talented, and they could accomplish anything they set their mind to. She was our cheerleader. To her friends and church family she was committed, a prayer partner, willing to serve, and always was available to do whatever was asked of her. When it came to ministry, she gave her all. Our Meme left a legacy of Jesus and family. We are honored to carry and pass that on. There are not enough words to express who she was and what she meant to all who knew her, but we know those who know Jesus will see her again and what a reunion that will be. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Loretta Whaley and her son, Darryl Raymond Stanton. She is survived by her sisters, Lena Sellers Roach, Teresa Sellers Havens, and Patricia Sellers McClanahan, Daughters: Deedra Stanton Smrz and son in law, Richard. Dena Stanton Emery and son in law, Kris. Melanie Bolton Joseph and son in law, James. Daughter in law, Dannette Plummer Stanton; sister in law, Joyce Stanton Gazaway.
