Charlie Mize

April 9, 1946 — July 19, 2021

Charlie Mize, age 75, went home to be with his heavenly Father on July 19, 2021. He was an ordained minister and attended Atlantic Avenue Baptist Church of Knoxville. He owned National Security Services for 44 years, and he enjoyed working and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his mother Flossie Sanders, grandson Chuckie Mize, sisters Juanita Mize and Sue Hudson, brothers Ernie Mize, Willard Coffee (Bus), and James Mize, and daughter Barbara Mize. He is survived by his wife Lisa Mize, son Charles “Eddie” (Dena) Mize, daughter Tracy Palacios, son Jeff Mize, sisters Fran Brashears and Darlene Cash, and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10am-12pm on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. There will then be a 12pm service officiated by Eddie Seals and Charlie Reynolds, with a procession to follow to Greenwood Cemetery for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Online condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.
