Charles William (Roxy) Adkins

Charles William (Roxy) Adkins, age 87, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2013. He was of the Baptist faith and was known to many loved ones as “Granddaddy”. He was an Army veteran and had retired from the Knoxville News Sentinel after many years of service. He is preceded in death by wife, Patsy Morris Adkins; parents, Horace and Hattie Bell Adkins; brothers, Horace Jr., David and Paul Adkins; sisters, Betty London and Wanda Webb. He is survived by sons, Jeff and wife Kathie Adkins, Gary and wife Mary Adkins; daughter, Kathy Adkins; grandchildren, Stephanie and husband Aaron McCulley, Mackenzie, Lindsay, Alli and Carolyne; great-grandchildren, Jack, Trace, Molly McCulley and Greyson Farrell; sister-in-law Jeanne Jones and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 8 PM Monday at Clear Springs Baptist Church Corryton, TN. The family will receive friends 6-8 at Clear Springs Baptist Church.
