Charles W. Hall

Charles W. Hall, age 77, of Knoxville, passed away July 14, 2013 at Tennova Residential Hospice. He was a life-long resident of Halls Crossroads and a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Retired from the City of Knoxville after 35 years of service and Three Ridges and Centennial Golf Courses. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army. Preceded in death by parents, Fred and Pearl Elkins Hall; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy and Edna Thomas Maner. Survived by the love of his life, Barbara Maner Hall; children and spouses, Charlene and Wayne Dowling, Wendell and Tara Hall, Patti and Scott McGee, Brian Hall; grandchildren, Jameson and Brent Dowling; Katie and Samantha McGee; Andy, Ryan and Bailey Hall; devoted brothers, Claude F. Hall and wife Jean, and Clyde E. Hall; brother-in-law and wife, Alvin and Phyllis Maner; sisters-in-law, Margaret Adcock, Charlotte West, Nina Whitehead and husband Tom; nephews, Steve, Gary, Earl, and Kenny Hall, Kevin and Gary Whitehead; niece, Brooke Greene. Funeral service 8:00 pm Tuesday at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Blazier and Rev. Mark McCoig officiating. Flowers are welcome but if preferred memorials may be made to Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 7916 Pedigo Road, Knoxville, TN 37938. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Wednesday at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for 11:00 am interment. Pallbearers: Jameson and Brent Dowling, and Andy, Ryan, Steve, Earl, and Gary Hall.
