Charles Purkey

Rev. Charles "Roger" Purkey, age 74, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine "Ernie" Purkey; father, Robert Purkey Sr., son-in-law Roger Conatser, son-in-law Robbie Croft, and brother-in-law Dennis Cinnamon. Roger leaves behind his best friend, soul mate, and wife, Debbie; daughters, Missi Purkey Croft, Shannon Purkey Conatser, Nikki Smith, and Tabatha (Erick) Beal; sons, Jacob Purkey, Jeremiah Purkey, Dusty (Earlene) Humphreys, and Tramond "T-spoon" Davenport; brothers and sisters, Robert "Bobby" (Diane) Purkey, Patty (Tod) Stieber, Danny (Sonja) Purkey, Tina Purkey, Susan Purkey, and Teresa Cinnamon; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; special friend and brother-in-Christ, David Ruble; mountain buddy and great friend, Gene Wilburn. A receiving of friends will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2022, from 6:30-7:00pm with a celebration of life to follow at 7:00pm at New River Life Church 6722 Dantedale Lane, Knoxville, Tennessee 37918 with Rev.
