Charles Linden Byrd

Charles Linden Byrd, age 88, of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord March 22, 2016. He was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as a baker at Swan Bakery with over 20 years of service and was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by parents, John “Pa” & Jicie “Ma” Byrd; brothers, Jesse, Mayford, Kenneth, Dennis Byrd; sisters, Naomi Collins and Geneva Strunk. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jenny Byrd; daughter, Yvonne Sentell; son, Mark Byrd; granddaughters, Yvette (Nick) Dotson, Kristin (Randy) Lowry, Bri (Michael) Inklebarger, Jessica (Shane) Nelson; great-grandchildren, Ty, Wesley, Faith, Linden, Miles; great great-granddaughter, Laelynn. Funeral Services will be 8pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Vittatoe and Rev. David Collins officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11am graveside service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
