Charles Fred Bright, age 92, of Knoxville, passed away to his home on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Charles is survived by his wife Margaret J. (Jean) Bright, his two children Sherry (Bright) Shindelar and husband John and William C. Bright and wife Sandy, and one step-son Richard Coker, his three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Della Bright, his father Charlie L. Bright, and his step-mother Laura Bright. Charles was a devoted husband and father who deeply loved his family. He worked in the finance field and at the finish of his career, he was employed by the FDIC. He loved classic cowboy movies and Hank Williams music. He enjoyed the Smokey Mountains, but Florida was his favorite vacation spot, and he loved to take his family to the beach there every year on vacation. Family game time was another favorite, especially card games, like Rook. He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. Friends may call at their convenience at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 between the hours on 9:00am until 5:00pm. Family and friends are asked to assemble by 11:45 am on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in Greenwood Cemetery for a 12:00pm Graveside service with Chaplain Tom Rayford officiating. Please dress casual.
