Carter H. Acuff

Carter Herbert Acuff went home to be with the Lord October 3, 2017 at the family home. Born June 4, 1932 to Thomas and Veda Acuff. Preceded in death by wife Evadena Acuff, parents Thomas and Veda Acuff; brothers and sisters-in-law Sherman Acuff, Glen (Dessie) Acuff, John (Mary) Acuff, JR (Hilda) Acuff; special friend who was like a brother, Joe Raby; sister-in-law Christine McGinnis. Survived by nephew and caregiver Sherman (Angel) Acuff and their children Brittnee Acuff (Andrew Overton), Ashlee (John) Jarnigan, Zach Acuff (Brooke Hayes); special niece Rebecca (Sis) Hutchison; special friend and like a sister Rachel Raby and Lorie Hurley, who was like a daughter; sisters-in-law Betty Jean Johnson, Kathleen Brown, Lorene Patterson; host of other nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Rev. Ray Chandler and Rev. Billy Acuff officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45a.m. Friday at Grainger Memorial Gardens for 11:00a.m. interment.
