Carroll N. Ward

Carroll N. Ward, age 87, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2020. He was a veteran of the US Army and Air Force. Preceded in death by wife Betty L. Ward, brother Melvin James Ward, sisters, Evelyn Tharp, Wanda Kay Childress Bennie Anita Ward, and Juanita Selvidge, and niece Candice Nicole Middleton. Survived by daughters Carol Janeece “Neecy” Smith and Mary Susan Middleton, sons Carroll Ward Jr. and Norman Eugene Ward, siblings, Kathy Cox, Shirley Trott, Ronald Ward, Dorothy Myers, Bill J. Ward, David Ward, Elanor Feathers, and Steve Penix, grandchildren Cameron Middleton, Joey Easton, Whitnee Middleton, Joshua Smith, Casey Smith and Logan Smith, as well as many other relatives and loved ones. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help with funeral expenses. Friends may call at their convenience Tuesday, January 14th, and Wednesday, January 15th, between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm. Family and friends will meet at 11:15am Thursday, January 16, 2020, at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Governor John Sevier Highway for an 11:30am committal service, Rev. Eddie Myers officiating.
