Carrie Magaline Mcmahan

Carrie Magaline McMahan, age 81, went to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, March 27, 2021. She was a faithful member of New Christian Rest Baptist Church of Knoxville. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Bertha Jordan, and four siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie McMahan, son David Britton McMahan Jr, granddaughter Amy (Joel) Crawford, grandsons Jeffrey Britton (Alma) McMahan and Travis McMahan, and great-grandchildren Javeyanna, Jamye, Joel Britton, Lataeya, Cadayisha, and Casmine. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Monday, March 29, 2021, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with a 7:00 service to follow, Pastor Randy officiating. Friends and family will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 2:45pm for a 3:00pm graveside service. Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com. Don’t grieve for me now, I am free, I am following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back on it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found peace at the end of the day If our parting has left a void, Then fill it now with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, These things I too shall miss. Be not burdened with time of sorrow, I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life has been full, I have savored much, Good friends, good things, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, Don’t spend it now, with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
