Carrie Jane Geames

Carrie J. Geames, age 86 of Knoxville, passed away November 9, 2018 at Island Home Nursing Facility. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She would do anything to help anyone. She was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents P.V. and Bertha Humphrey, son Steve Geames and great granddaughter Makayla Dyer. Survived by sister Iva Shumate, daughter Bonnie Atkins (Roger), grandchildren Amanda, Mike, Tony, Ashley, and Cody. Great grandchildren Matt, Kendra, Mariha, Makayla, Gavin and her two special little helpers Alexis and Haylee. She also had Beau, a very special four-legged grand dog. She is also survived by her special niece Lynn Tipton. Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with a service to follow at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. Byron Chesney and Tony Hayes officiating. Friends and family will meet at 10:45 am for an 11:00 am graveside on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Anderson-Gouffon Cemetery.
