Carolyn Sue Jackson

Carolyn Sue (McCarter) Jackson, age 77, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 11, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was of the Baptist faith, and had worked for White Stores, Inc. and Food City before she retired. Preceded in death by parents; John & Vola McCarter, Sister; Emma (J C) Ogle, brother; Steve McCarter, Sister-in-law; Nancy Colburn; Nephew; Dennis Ogle. Survivors; husband of 59 years; Charles E. Jackson, Son; Charlie (Cheryl) Jackson, Daughter; Jennifer (Gary) Mays, Granddaughters; Taylor Jackson, Stella and Lila Cook, Brothers; Jr (Dorothy) McCarter, Jerry (Janet) McCarter and Larry (Frankie) McCarter, Sister-in-laws; Joyce McCarter and Brenda Jo Storie, Brother-in-laws; Ronald & Stevan Jackson, Special Niece; Valerie McCarter, several Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City. Family and friends will meet 12:15 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for a 12:30 p.m. committal service, Eulogist Stevan Jackson officiating. Pallbearers; Jason, Aaron and Brian McCarter, Cameron Torney, Hamid Alhawazawi and Gary Mays.
