Carolyn Jean Yarbrough-Auten

Carolyn Jean Yarbrough-Auten, age 75 of Knoxville passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. She was of the Baptist faith and sang in many area Baptist churches. She is preceded in death by her husband; Robert W. Auten, parents; Gordon and Reba Irene Gibson, son; Brian Kemp Yarbrough, and brother; Kenneth Gibson. She is survived by her children; Roy Gibson, Reba Turner, Victoria Pyatt, Cheryl Okri, Shanna Flowers, Charles Yarbrough, Nicole Yarbrough, and Mark Yarbrough, 19 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother; Harold Gibson (Annette), sisterg; Shirley Niece, Sandra Cooke (Mike), Anita Little, Cathy Harroun (Mike), Angela St. Laurent, and numerous other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12 noon – 1:30pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with a funeral service to follow, Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Burial to follow at Highland Memorial (Sutherland Avenue). The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Mynatt Funeral Home to help with expenses.
