Carolyn Annette Hill

Carolyn Annette Hill, age 81 was born on December 28, 1942 in Kodak, TN and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 7, 2024 in Knoxville, TN.

She had the biggest heart and loved so deeply. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She worked at UT Medical Center for over 30 years before retiring in 2012.

She loved sports, especially Tennessee football and basketball, Lady Vols basketball and softball and the Atlanta Braves.

She cherished her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything. They brought her so much joy and she loved them fiercely. She especially loved her granddog, Bailey who passed away earlier this year.

She was a member of New Fellowship Baptist Church and was of the Baptist faith. We are comforted in knowing she is no longer suffering and is now happy and healthy in Heaven and surrounded by her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Emma Schubert, her husband of 57 years James (Jim) Hill, brothers Bill, Mack and Wayne Schubert, sisters Edna Cate and Lillian Mena. She is survived and missed by her daughter Angie (Blake) Johnson and grandchildren Carter and Emery; Grandson Jason Crosson and great grandson Noah Gosnell; Sister Sue (George) Tillman; adopted daughter Carolyn Sue Breeden, granddaughter Marissa Breeden and great grandson Mason Breeden; special nephew Donnie Schubert and special niece Jean Hackworth along with many additional nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Betty Brannum and the care team and staff at Morning Pointe Knoxville for the compassion and care they provided Carol over several years.

Family will receive friends 5:00-6:30pm Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with a brief service to follow at 6:30pm, Rev. Wayne Lay officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:45pm Friday, December 13, 2024, at Berry Highland South Cemetery for a 1:00pm interment. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com
