Carolyn Ann (Palmer) Beeler born October 25, 1940, age 81 of Fountain City, went to be with the LORD. A former member of Smithwood Baptist, First Baptist of Fountain City, and Norwood Baptist Churches, Carolyn was a faithful Christian who dedicated her life to serving others for GOD. A Central High School alumni from class of 1958, she was married for 49 years to the late alumni Bobby Joe Beeler (class of 1956.)
A long-time cafeteria worker at Gresham Middle School, later on as a Clinic Worker at Fountain City Elementary School, she assisted with teaching other people in training with First Aid and the Red Cross Disaster Relief team. She later became a Teacher's Assistant at Fountain City Elementary School, where she helped many children grasp the intricacies of homework, many times spending extra hours before and after school grading papers, and making copies for teachers. Her devotion even went as far as dressing up as a witch with a broom and cauldron for the kids.
Carolyn also spent many years at the First Baptist Church, helping with food, gifts, crafts, and many other activities. Her favorite being a Mission Friend's teacher, Jolly Elders helper, and a Choir member. She loved making center pieces, and was a craftaholic.
She is survived by her daughters Kristin Beeler and Kathryn Beeler, her son and daughter-in-law, Kiall Matthew and Jamie Beeler. Grandchildren Michael Hurst and wife Brandie Jones Hurst, Rebecca Smith and husband Nathan Smith, and Noah Beeler. She also had two great grandchildren Keira Smith and Cooper Hurst. WE WILL ALL MISS HER GREATLY. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Empty Stocking Fund or a charity of your choice.
