Irick, Carlie Fay, was born September 16, 1929, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She walked through the gates of Heaven on March 28, 2013. She was a faithful member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. She will forever rest in God’s presence in Heaven where she will be welcomed by her parents, Jessie and Mossie Welch; son, Gary Irick; brother, Earl Welch. She was a wonderful loving and devoted wife, mother, mamaw, and friend. She is survived by her soul mate from a very young age, and married 65 years, Edward Irick; son, Hal and wife Carolyn Irick; granddaughters, Kelly and husband Michael McCroskey, Stacy and husband James Hacker. She also raised her great-granddaughter, Ashley Burleson. She leaves behind 4 other great-grandchildren and 2 great great-granddaughters. She also leaves behind many loving and caring friends. Special thank you to her hospice care nurses, Nancy Clabo and Merle Dawson, for taking such wonderful care of her. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow. Rev. Jerry Vittatoe officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Tuesday at the funeral home and proceed to her final resting place beside her parents at Milan Baptist Church Cemetery in Maynardville, TN for 11:00 am interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clear Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 8518 Thompson School Road, Corryton, TN 37721.
