Carl "Leon" Brown

Carl “Leon” Brown, Sr., age 77 of Corryton, a wonderful husband, dad and popus, went to live in his heavenly home June 3, 2013. He was a faithful deacon of 37 years and member of River of Life Church. Preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Roxie Brown; brothers, Jr. and Elmer Brown; sister, Ruth Humphrey. Survived by the love of his life, wife of 51 years, Ruby Brown; children, Carl Brown, Jr. (Robin), Angi Cash (David), Lisa Strickland (Rick), Elizabeth (Bibo) Weaver, William (Eddie) Brown; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen (R) Pressley; brother-in-law, John Turner (Sue); several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Carl Brown and Rev. David Cash officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Thursday at Ft. Sumter Cemetery for 11:00 am interment. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
