Burl Hutchison

Burl Hutchison passed away Friday, February 26, 2016, at the age of 90. Burl was a World War II Veteran and served in the United States Navy. He retired after 43 years from Albers Drug Company as a salesman. He attended Beaver Dam Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Bright Hope Masonic Lodge in Fountain City. Burl was born on February 26, 1926 in Union County, TN., to the son of Albert and Cora (Malone) Hutchison. His survivors include: his loving wife of 67 years, Ruth (Raley) Hutchison, his children; Jim Hutchison (Amy Ryder), Bob Hutchison (Karen), Vickie Wilhite (Chuck), and Gail Anderson (Mike) all of Knoxville, TN; His grandchildren; Trever Hutchison (Liza), Chad Hutchison (Jennifer), Joy Geoghagan (Jeff), Tess Frear (Derek), Brad Hutchison (Lindsey), Susan Wilhite, Allison Ardouin (Eric), Seth Anderson (Tara Bowlin), Samuel Anderson. He was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren. His is also survived by his sister Blanche Chambers, brother Burney Hutchison, sister-in-law Mary Lou Raley, brother-in-law Bill Bledsoe (Betty), several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Edith Bookout, Irene Nance, Dolphia Weaver, Ann Ridenour, & Ruth Hutchison, brothers Hubert Hutchison, Willard Hutchison and Troy Hutchison. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel at 1:00pm Sunday, February 28, 2016 to proceed to New Loyston Cemetery, Hickory Valley Road, Andersonville, TN, for graveside service at 2:00pm. Dr. Charles Earl and Dr. Alan Price will be officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Burl’s memory to Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 4328 E Emory Road, Knoxville, TN 37938 or Tennova Healthcare Auxiliary Hospice, 7447 Andersonville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37938.
