Bueford Leonard Record

Bueford Record, age 69, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 25, 2012. He worked as an auto body repairman and former teacher at Byington-Solway Vocational Center and Lays Body Shop for 15 years. Member of New Pleasant Gap Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father Earl Leonard Record. Survived by wife of 51 years, Ruth Record; sons Mike Record, Tony and wife Joy Helton Record; daughter Melissa Benedict; grandchildren Amanda Hampson, Jordan, Rebecca and Kendell Record, Kaelan Michael and Walter Levi Benedict all of Kentucky; mother Dorthia Abbott Record; sister Barbara Compton of Danville, Kentucky; brother Gary Record of Casey County, Kentucky; aunt Celia Weldon and the late Buford Weldon; extended family Robbie Yates and Michael Chris Hilton of Danville, Kentucky; 26 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mynatt Funeral Home to help family with expenses. Funeral service 8:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Monday at the funeral home and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for 11:00 am entombment. Rev. Leonard Goins and Rev. Donnie Walker officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
