Bryce Garrin Olinger, age 15, of Powell, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2017. Bryce was a ray of sunshine to everyone around him. He was always laughing, always happy, and had a smile that would light up a room. He loved music, swimming, traveling and balloons, but especially found joy in spending time with his family. Bryce faithfully attended church, was a student at Powell Middle School where he was a member of the CDC class. He was affectionately called “Bryceroni” by many who loved him. Bryce impacted people’s lives without ever saying a word and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Sterling Meadows. He is survived by his parents, Richard & LaJeana Olinger Jr.; his loving sissy, Shaylyn Olinger; grandparents, Jean Meadows, and Richard & Peggy Olinger Sr.; aunts and uncles, Randy & Sadonya Allen, Eddie & Anna Olinger, Michael & Tina Olinger; cousins, Blye and Briggs Allen, Alanna and Bhrett Olinger, and Katie, Megan, and Emily Olinger; special teachers, Melissa Halter, Lauren Hickman, and Kristen Farley. The family would like to express a special thanks for Drs. Joe and Monica Black, and all the teams of doctors and nurses who have cared for Bryce over the years. Another special thanks to Daniel & Amber Brooks and family for being our rock through this time. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church, 1700 W. Beaver Creek Drive, Powell, TN 37849. A celebration of life service to follow, with Pastor Clarence Sexton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 am, Monday, December 4, 2017 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and go in procession to Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 am graveside service. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Noah Alexander, Daniel Brooks, Jimmy Cooper, Grant Hickman, Eddie Olinger, and Michael Olinger.
