Bruce Dean Mayes

Bruce D. Mayes, age 86 of Knoxville, departed this life peacefully February 20, 2013. Member of Sharon Baptist Church. Owner of Mayes Bus Lines and Knox County school bus driver since 1943. Preceded in death by mother Lena Cawood Mayes; father Sterling C. Mayes; brother Norman C. Mayes. Survived by children Rick Mayes, Darrell Mayes and wife Becky; mother of his children Norma Mayes; grandchildren Chris Mayes and wife Vernette, Kara Mayes and Jenna Mayes; great grandchildren, Lucas and Emersyn Mayes; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 12 Noon Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Dennis Blazier and Dr. James Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 10:00 am - 12 Noon Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
