Nave, Bruce Alfred, age 87 of Powell, passed away on March 21st, at his home. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, May 24, 1925. He was a charter member at Powell Presbyterian Church and served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S Belleauwood. Retired member of Local #46 where he was an asbestos worker and insulator. Bruce was an active member of Powell Lodge #582 for 41 years. He was also a Kerbela Shrine member for 40 years and served as Captain of Vintage Wheels for many of those years. Bruce was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and loved by all who knew him. Mr. Nave was preceded in death by his wife, of 41 years, Billie Nave. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Bob and Elena Tonkin; granddaughter and husband, David and Tracie Landreth; great granddaughter and husband, Matthew and Krissie Wiggins, and great grandsons Robbie Loyd and Justin Landreth, and adopted daughter, Marsha Nave, special neighbors Jay and Lillian Story. Bruce also leaves behind many treasured friends. Special thanks to U.T. Hospice Nurse, Trenton Harrell and caregivers at East Tennessee Personal Care. Masonic service followed by funeral service 2:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Rev. Fran Vickers officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Military Honors will be presented by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children and mailed to Kerbella Temple, P.O. Box 868, Knoxville, Tennessee 37901. Family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
