Brian Michael Grant

Brian M. Grant, born July 6, 1957 in Hackensack, New Jersey passed away, after a short illness, Monday September 11, 2017 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Preceded in death by his father, John T. Grant and younger brother, Christian Grant. He enjoyed baseball as a youth at Fountain City Ballpark as well as his paper route which financed his many motorcycles. He was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1975. Brian worked with his father at U.S. Steel and then for several years with his older brother in their painting business, Grant and Grant Contractors. In his latter years, he was a self-employed painter. Brian leaves behind his loving wife, Patti, for whom the sun rose and set for each day. Her love for him will never end and they will be reunited in heaven one day. Also survived by his daughter Jennifer Smith and her husband Richard; grandchildren Andrew and Naomi Smith; big brother Douglas Grant; little sister Victoria Grant and his dear mother Dorothy Grant. Brian will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Family will receive friends 4:30p.m.- 6:30p.m. Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
