Brent Steven Trusley

June 26, 1953 — October 8, 2021

Brent Steven Trusley (June 26, 1953 – October 8, 2021) A lover of life and family, Brent never strayed far from his north Knoxville heritage. Raised in the Fountain City area, he was a standout athlete at Central High School receiving the Johnny Payne Award as Central’s student athlete of the year in 1971. A legend in Knoxville baseball circles, he played baseball at UT before joining the US Air Force in 1976. Upon his retirement from NCR in 2007 he served the Powell community as a parent and supporter of Powell athletics. Always known as one who could and would do anything for friends, family and those in need including his beloved dogs, Buster and Andy. Survived by his devoted and caring wife Jana, sons Eric (wife Kendall), Cade (girlfriend Autumn), and Walker, grandson Hudson, brother Randy, and life-long friends Dennis Payne and his wife Sherry. Preceded in his death by his father, Jack Trusley, mother, Shirley Householder Trusley, and son Rance. Brent is missed on this earth but rests in the arms of God through the love, mercy and grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Brent’s watchful eye and care will always be with us until God’s Kingdom comes. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Friday, October 15, 2021 at Bookwalter Cemetery for a 11:00am graveside service.
