Brenda Sue Tallent

June 2, 1952 — June 25, 2023

Brenda “Chunky” Sue Clemons Tallent, 71 years old, passed away at home surrounded by her closest family and friends who she loved and adored. Brenda, daughter of Paul and Ozella Clemons, was born on June 2nd of 1952 in Knoxville, Tn. She was married to James Tallent on October 3rd in 1975 and together they have 3 daughters: Kimberly, Kelly, and Jessica. Brenda loved country and gospel music and enjoyed singing in her church choir. She was very quick witted and could make anyone laugh. Her favorite color was pink and you would rarely see her without her red nail polish and lipstick. You could always find her in the kitchen with a snack in the middle of the night, and her evenings were not complete without spending time in her rocking chair outside on the porch with a caramel frappe. Brenda deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and always encouraged them to be faithful to church and live for God. She was preceded in death by beloved parents, Paul and Ozella Clemons; sisters, Gaynelle Gresham and Janice Shipley; brothers, Butch Clemons, Charles Clemons, and Leonard Clemons, and great-granddaughter Kamryn Michelle Garland. She is survived by husband, James Tallent; and daughters, Kimberly (Tallent) Conard and husband Gary Conard, Kelly (Tallent) Williams and husband Chris Williams, Jessica (Tallent) Williams and husband Brian Williams; grandchildren, Kasey, Amos, Dwayne, Steven, Heather, Hannah, Hailey, Grace, Emily, Caleb, Joshua and Elijah; and great-grandchildren, Rylee, Brooke, Kaiden, Mia, Jude, Kwinten, and Aria. Family will receive friends 5:00-6:00pm Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel, with a memorial service to follow at 6:00pm, officiated by Rev. Leonard “Buster” Gresham.  Food will be served at the after party at Kelly’s house. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com
