Brenda Joyce Sellers

Brenda Joyce Sellers, age 75, Born 8/17/1947 – Died 8/11/2023. With sadness in our hearts and tears in our eyes we announce the passing of our amazing mother. Through the grief and pain, we rest assured that she is united with her parents, grandparents, sister, and many others that have passed to Heaven. Most importantly we know she is singing praises to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She so longed to see Jesus. We know she is the happiest she has ever been. She dedicated over 50 years of her life as a nurse. Taking care of those that could not care for themselves. She spent her nursing years at Baptist Hospital, then moving on to Park West for the bulk of her career and then spending several years at the Cleveland Clinic, in Ohio. After this she spent her remaining career at several nursing homes in the Knoxville area and doing at home care for patients well into her 70’s. She is survived by her sons, Brian and Darren, brothers Mark and Pat, sister Peachie and grandkids Marcus, Naomi, and Mason. We love her and will miss her dearly. She taught us to work hard but most importantly to love Jesus and live our lives for Him, so that by loving Jesus with all our heart we can truly love all our neighbors. If she was here and saw me writing this, she’d say to end with something like this. “Turn to Jesus, put your faith in Him. His love will guide you to true happiness.” Family will receive friends 10:00-11:30am, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with service to follow at 11:30am.
