Bobby Lynn Davis

Bobby L. Davis, our hero stepped into the arms of Jesus on Monday September 30, 2013 after a long illness at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home. Where he was lavishly loved by the staff and he loved them like family in return. Mr. Davis grew up in Blount County and after graduating from Everett High School, joined the U.S. A.F. serving 20 years including 14 months in Vietnam where he earned a Bronze Star and several other medals while helping protect our country. He spent several years with Diebold Inc. as service manager before his health failed. Bob loved to worship his Lord and Saviour at Grace Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Gladys Sue Hamilton Davis; sons Garrie Lynn Davis, Jeffery Alan and wife Kim; daughter Robin Sue Wright and husband Darrell. Bob adored his grandchildren Chris, Bobby, Justin, Lindsay, Ally, and Marybeth; great- grandchildren Madison, Nathan, and Gavin; sisters Betty Jo Gregory and husband Raymond, Sheila Davis; brother Sidney Davis. Family will receive friends 5-7pm Thursday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Service 7pm Thursday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:45pm Friday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment at 1pm.
