Bobby Joe Keys, age 63 of Corryton, passed away Thursday morning, May 8, 2014, at UT Medical Center. Bobby retired from KAT city bus lines after 37 years of service. He loved his family and his friends and worked hard all his life to provide for his children. Preceded in death by his father, Ethridge Keys; mother, Annis Keys; infant brother, H.L. Keys; grandparents, Ezma and Zelma Keys, Tip and Belle Carpenter. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Bobby E. (Eddie) and Casey Keys; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Sam Hobbs; grandchildren that he loved dearly, Bradley and Katelyn Keys, Logan and Austin Hobs; brother, David Keys and wife Linda; sisters and brothers-in-law, June and Ronnie Patterson, Faye and Larry Kuhl; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vasculitis Foundation Research Fund to aid Wegener’s disease research. Funeral service 8:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Vincent Jones and Rev. Charlie Lynch officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:00 am Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel and proceed to Pleasant View Cemetery, Maynardville for 11:00 am interment. Pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
