Bobby Gene Blackburn

Bobby Gene Blackburn, born June 5, 1942, age 79. He passed away peacefully at home after a long-term illness on August 26, 2021. He was of the Baptist faith. Bobby retired from Peterbilt. He is preceded in death by mother Anna Turner and father Jake Blackburn, sisters; Dorothy, Ina Ruth, Pauline, and Linda, and brother Charles. He is survived by wife Karen and their dog Cooper, daughters; Sharon (Paul) Tinsley and Christy (Fred) Craft, son Ronnie (Betty) Blackburn, stepson; Chris (Aubree) Farmer, grandchildren; Kevin and Derrick Blackburn, Austin and Dustin Craft, and Savannah Farmer, sisters; Barbara Witt, Carolyn Robinson, and Kathy Adams, brothers; Paul, Newell and Oliver Blackburn, special friend Carla Payne, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like would like to express sincere appreciation and gratitude to Brenda Howey, Autumn White, Angie Foster, Angie Jones, and Megan Chapman with Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-6:00pm om Tuesday, August 31, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with a celebration of life to follow at 6:00pm to be officiated by Elder Paul D.
