Bobbie Ruth Franklin Huskey, born November 8, 1928, joined her soul mate in peace on June 20, 2021 at Shannondale Health Care in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was a Halls High School graduate. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, and a friend to everyone she met. Preceded in death by husband Ernest Ray Huskey, parents John and Edna Franklin, daughter in law Evelyn Kay Jones Huskey, and granddaughter Stevie Nicole Huskey. She is survived in death by her five children: son Richard Huskey and wife Debra, son Eddie Huskey, daughter Kathy and husband Bob Apjok, daughter Sandi and husband Lynn Palmer, and son Steven Huskey all of Knoxville. Bobbie leaves behind many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Bobbie and Ernest married young, soon after Ernest was honorably discharged from the US Navy after serving in World War II. With husband Ernest, they founded Knoxville Missionary Temple, as well as founder and cofounder of the United Veterans of Mid East Tennessee which served veterans, spouses, and children near and far. She was a lifetime of member of the DAV Chapter 24, and served as Auxiliary Commander for several years. They lived many places, planted many churches, and touched many, many lives. No matter where they lived, they worked hard to make their house a home and a place where all were welcomed with a meal and a great cup of coffee! They dedicated their entire lives to the service to God. The family would like to thank the staff of Shannondale Health Care; especially second floor nurses Carmen, Christina, Amy, Maddie, Mary and especially Granny’s favorite, “Nina”, and all other staff who served her since 2016. The family will be receiving friends at Mynatt Funeral home in Fountain City on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 12:00 until 1:00 pm. Everyone will then proceed to Anderson-Gouffon Cemetery for a 2:00pm graveside service.
