Bobbie Jane Dalton Thomas, all she wanted was to come home from the hospital, and then go home to see her Jesus and her beloved sweetheart, D.C. Thomas. Bobbie Jane, age 91, got her wish on Monday, April 29, 2024 with her family by her side. She loved her Lord and was a lifelong member of Clear Springs Baptist Church since 1944. She always had a beautiful smile for everyone. She graduated from HHS in 1951 as Valedictorian of her class. She loved to sing and did so in the school chorus, church choir, and most recently from her bed with her pastors and church staff. She loved her family dearly and is survived by her children: Sandy (Gene) Wright, Kathy (Phil) Babelay and Donnie (Cindy) Thomas; grandchildren: Erin Wright Fleenor, Thomas Wright, Nathan (Angel) Babelay, Kristin (Rickey) Luttrell and Dustin (Alison) Thomas; great-grandchildren: Dalton and Ella Fleenor, Jayce Wright, Cohen and Annabeth Babelay, Hudson, Griffin and Nolan Luttrell; and special friend since childhood, Gloria Johnson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, D.C. Thomas, father and mother, Rev. R.J. and Zola Dalton, brothers, Little Bill and Wilson Dalton, and sisters: Zelma Martin, Ollie Anderson, Mary Albright and Mildred Dyer. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, immediately followed by a 7:00 pm funeral service officiated by Pastor Justin Pratt and Dr. Jerry Vittatoe. Family and friends will meet Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 10:45 am at Clear Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (Thompson School Rd) for an 11:00 am interment service. Her son and grandsons will serve as pallbearers and her great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family would like to thank U.T. Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion, and her neighbors, Ron and Ovella Gibbons for always watching out for her. Online condolences may be made at www.mynattfh.com.
