Billy Ray Moyers was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Billy will be remembered as a very exceptional person. He was born in Claiborne County, TN to Mana & Reba Moyers. Billy was raised with two siblings. He had a brother, George and sister, Nettie Mae. Fortunately, Billy enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Billy worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. His primary occupation was as a carpenter. He was employed for himself. Billy’s faith was important to him. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church. He is survived by brother and sister in law, George L. & Rachel Moyers of Monroe, Ga., sister and brother in law, Nettie Mae & Ralph Eggleston. Nieces & nephews, Tona Moyers, Mike (Tracey) Moyers. Donna Sue & Mike Jellicorse. Great nieces & nephews, Jenny (Matt) Medlin, Matt Jellicorse, Katie (Justin) Melton and a host of other family. Services were held at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Billy was laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Simply stated, Billy was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Billy leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Billy Ray Moyers.
