Billy James Fletcher

Billy James Fletcher, SFC Retired, age 78, passed away on June 8, 2017 from a fall at his home in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was retired from the U.S. Army having served with the 101st Airborn Division. He served in Vietnam with the C Troop, 3rd Squadron, 5th Calvary, 9th Infantry. He received the Bronze Star with V Device, and Purple Heart. He was a member of Smithwood Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue Ann Fletcher; two sons, Jason Fletcher, and wife Kim, and Bryan Fletcher; two granddaughters, Emily and Abigail; two brothers, Johnny Reid, and wife Faye and Dickey Reid, and wife Peggy; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 4pm. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Elm Ridge Memorial Park in Muncie, Indiana for graveside services at 1pm.
