Billy Curtis Finger

December 10, 1963 — April 3, 2019

Billy Curtis Finger, Age 56, of Powell, Tennessee, went to meet Jesus on April 3, 2019. He was greeted in heaven by his mother, Carolyn Ellis, and all his friends and relatives that went home before him. Billy is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann, daughter Rayna (Kevin) Sherwood, son Adam, son Byron, daughter Dillia, daughter Michelle (Hayden) Duncan, granddaughters Adalee, Oaklee, Lynlee, Jaden, Lilly and Dakota, father Bill (Bobbie) Finger, sister Cindy (Paul) Sielawa, grandmother Ruth Presley and many other relatives and friends. Billy was a devoted and loving husband and father. He treasured his family and loved Jesus with all his heart. Even in his last days through pain and suffering, he sang his favorite hymns and continued to praise God for his blessings in life. Billy was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and worked in the trucking industry as a truck driver. Before his long battle with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), Billy fulfilled one of his dreams and bought his own semi just before getting sick. It was a major accomplishment that brought him so much joy. Billy also loved his dogs. He turned that passion into success when his prized, brace beagle, Tennessee Jug, won the 1993 Purina Outstanding Field Trial Beagle Award. Among all his loves in life that include, hunting, playing guitar, and singing, his greatest love was being with his kids and watching them play sports. He was also an assistant coach for his son’s football team. Yes, even in his wheelchair he would roll up and down the sidelines cheering his kids on. Baseball, softball, football, no matter the sport and no matter how he was feeling, he was there supporting and loving his kids. He loved to joke and never met a stranger. Billy would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Billy left a lasting imprint on the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know him. He will be forever and deeply missed and never far from our hearts. We love you sweet angel in heaven!
