Nave, Billie Mays, age 85 of Powell, passed away on October 20th at Tennova Hospice. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, February 1, 1927. She was a charter member at Powell Presbyterian Church. She was an active member in the Eastern Star since March of 1954, having membership in Fountain City OES 160 and Powell OES 335. Billie was instrumental in the organization of Abdiel Temple #147 Daughters of the Nile and served as queen in 1980. Billie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and was loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Nave was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Middleton and her first husband Gordon Hollis Mays. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Bruce Nave; daughter and son-in-law, Bob and Elena Tonkin; granddaughter and husband, David and Tracie Landreth; great granddaughter and husband, Matthew and Krissie Wiggins, and great grandsons Robbie Loyd, and Justin Landreth: and special friends Jay and Lillian Story and Nancy Monday. Billie also leaves behind many treasured friends. Special thanks to University Pulmonary and Critical Care, University of Tennessee Hospice, and Tennova Hospice for their loving care. Funeral Service will be held 8:00pm, Monday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Mr. Terry Loveday officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45am, Tuesday, at Highland Memorial for graveside service at 11:00am. The family will receive friends 5:00pm-8:00pm, Monday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
