B.H. Hodge

B.H. Hodge, age 79, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Ft. Sanders Hospital. He and his wife, June (Tindell) Hodge, were married 59 wonderful years. God blessed their union with 3 children, Alecia (Bill), Brad (Terri) and Alan (and friend Barbara); 6 grandchildren, Daniel, Micah, Jonathan, Chase, Andrew and Annalisa; 2 great grandchildren, Natalie and Amelia. He is survived by sisters Doris Reeves, Karen (Terry) Shoffner; brother, Larry Hodge; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Max and Helen Hodge, and brother, Ronnie Hodge. B.H. was a friend to many, especially his horse show buddy, Joe Stooksbury; special friends at Arby’s on Emory Rd, Jerry; Sunday School class at Salem Baptist Church; and Susie and Hubie LaRue. B.H. owned and showed Tennessee Walking Horses locally and at The Walking Horse National Celebration. We are looking to that Great Reunion Day in heaven when we will be together again -- for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Cor. 5:8. Even so come Lord Jesus. Rev.21:20. In lieu of flowers, please donate to either St Jude’s or Shriner Children’s Hospital. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm, Sunday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00pm, with Rev. John Holland officiating. Family and friends will meet 12 noon, Monday, at Mynatt Funeral Home in Halls and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for an interment at 1:00pm. Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
