Betty June Vibbard

Betty June Modglin Sneed Vibbard passed on after a lengthy illness on May 23, 2023. Betty was born in Bluford, Illinois on November 24, 1931 to the late George W. Modglin and Mamie Baker Modglin. She was raised as one of ten children, excelling in high school sports. She earned a teaching degree from SIU/Carbondale and began her teaching career in Ina, Illinois. She furthered her teaching career and education in Southern California, before joining her son and his family in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she spent her last days. She is survived by her son, Warren the 2nd, her daughter-in-law, Susan, and her most cherished granddaughter, Hayleigh, her sister, Beverly Adams, many nieces and nephews who all loved her. She is preceded in death by most everyone she ever cared about. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.
