Betty Parolari Mantooth

Betty Parolari Mantooth, 86 of Powell, TN passed away on December 5, 2024 at West Hills Nursing Home. She was the fifth daughter born to Charlie and Bertha Green Parolari in Balkan, KY, on February 18, 1938. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, Ruth Sunday School Class. She loved her family, dancing, traveling, and was blessed to have traveled to 47 states and 20 countries and islands. She was a graduate of Bell County High School, KY and of U.T. Knoxville Nursing Diploma School. She had a 30-year career nursing at St. Mary’s Hospital in the Labor and Delivery, Surgical Unit and was one of the first nurses to obtain certification in high-risk prenatal care. She loved being a part of “New Lives Born”.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Bertha Green Parolari; husbands, Noble L. Mantooth, Robert V. Weigel; son, Timothy Noble Mantooth; grandson, Zane Glenn Bruhin; son-in-law, John Craig Crutchfield; brother, Charles W. (Buddy) Parolari; sisters, Helen Miller, Norma Harris, Dorothy Walters, Joann Goins and Mary L. Davis.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Tanya Seaton (Eric), Lisa Crutchfield and Beth Mantooth (Gene Grant); grandchildren, Sarah Myers (Aaron), Laura French (Jeff), Joshua Crutchfield, John Bruhin (Susie) and Timothy Crutchfield (Brooke Steiner) and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. with a funeral service to follow; Rev. Jim Robertson and Rev. Dennis Blazier officiating. A graveside service will take place the following day at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, December 9, 2024, with guests to arrive by 10:45 A.M. for a 11:00 A.M. graveside service.
