Betty Louise Watson, age 90 of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Preceded in death by mother and father Mayme and Rice Claiborne, sisters, Mark Kirk and Barbara Ford, brother Roy Claiborne, and husband Herbert H. Watson. Survived by daughter, Tracy W. Cochran and husband Taylor, grandson Shane Cochran and wife Kristin, great-grandson Peyton, brother, Paul Claiborne and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was a member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church for over 70 years, where she taught a weekly Bible study class for the last 25 years. A member of Eastern Star for over 60 years, holding several offices and Past Worthy Matron. She served as a nurse to her community for over 35 years. However, her most talented role was as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 31, 2020 with a service to follow at 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. David Maude and Rev. Robert Cook officiating. Friends and family will meet at 10:45 am on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Highland Memorial Cemetery (Sutherland Ave) for a 11:00 am interment.
