Betty Lou Varner

Betty Lou “Gran” Varner, age 82, of Knoxville went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2012. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by husband Howard L. Varner and son Eddie Eugene Varner. Survivors include children and spouses Judy and John Wright, Mickey and Mary Ann Varner, Linda and Jerry Perkey, Bug and B.J. Varner, Sis and Richard McLemore, and Melissa and Joe Mundy, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sisters Katherine Wright and Mary Merritt, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Interment will follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
