Betty Lou Johnson

Betty Lou Johnson, 76, formerly of Chicago, passed away August 16, 2017. She was a member of Central View Baptist Church where she loved to worship. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate mother and friend with a selfless heart of gold. She was an animal lover who enjoyed bird watching. Preceded in death by parents Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Johnson; brothers Johnny, Paul, and Delbert Johnson; sisters Mary Johnson and Jean Hatmaker. Survived by son Howard Hixson, daughter Monica Gordon, and son David Johnson; grandchildren Ryan and Emily Hixson; sister Alice (Roy) Kruse. Family will receive friends 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Sunday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow. Family and friends will meet 10:45a.m. Monday Greenwood Cemetery for 11:00a.m. interment.
