Betty Lay, age 86, passed away July 7, 2016. Preceded in death by husband John Lay; son Michael Selvidge; parents Clarence and Edith Pierce; grandchild Terry Allan; brothers Robert and James Pierce. Survived by sister Mary Atchley; brother Allen Pierce; children, Rebecca Anderson, Sherry Atchley, Timothy Selvidge, and Danny Black; grandchildren, Diane, Terry, Michelle, Jamie, Tambra, Melissa Dawn, Aaron, Seth, Hannah, Aiden, Addison, Kaitlyn, Gracia, Danny, Christopher, Melissa Ann, Chad, and Travis; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Service will be 4pm Saturday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. Marcus Severance officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Monday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for 11am interment. Family will receive friends 2-4pm Saturday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
